FERNANDO The Voyager bags are a competitive alternative to more popular bags like the Lore or the various Grip options. They're the overall best bag made by a disc manufacturer.
This generation of Voyager has massively upgraded padded straps; the carry handle is improved but still placed awkwardly. The massive velcro area is nice for personalization and the tall feet give me confidence that the bag will keep off the mud. Of course, Voyager bags have the biggest and more comfortable putter pouch on the market; holding 8-10 discs comfortably with another ~16 in the body.
This is the best overall bag for those who enjoy rigid standing bags that have dedicated pockets for water and valuables; Squatch/Pound haul-style pockets are multifunctional but are space-hungry. The wide selection of colorways also help me feel attached to my bag. <3
There are a few drawbacks!
The bag is prone to tipping backwards when fully loaded. The rear feet need to be positioned just a couple centimeters further to the edge.
The zippers are still great, but feel slightly less smooth than the last gen of Voyager Lite's.
The carry handle is better, but they should've opted for a Lore-style carry handle over the kind Grip uses, that are incorporated into the back straps.
My bag also has a bent plastic plate inside the main body that is stealing away a crucial centimeter.
Little Things:
4 Secret pockets are all felt-lined, making me feel good about storing my phone. It's better than the Legend's magnetic pocket, I think.
Its 4 metal D-Rings are luxurious and robust!
Add a paracord cinch to the side like the Squatch bags have for more comfortable hauling of Disc Retrievers. <3
Remove the slots for marker/pencils; it'll improve the bag's profile.
The fully zippered putter pocket is nice, but some will miss the velcro especially for rain rounds.
~Overall, amazing bag option!
Give it a try if you don't want to spend $200 on a Squatch or Grip that has equivalent functionality.
