Breaking Borders - breakingborders.org

Breaking Borders is an organization that uses Ultimate as a tool to promote strong Biblical character development in today's youth and young adults. They use an internally-developed curriculum called THE DISC that is based on Biblical principles and values intrinsic to the sport of Ultimate. Breaking Borders predominantly works in Nicaragua but has growing programs in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and stateside.  Breaking Borders accomplishes their mission by developing relationships with youth through tournaments, club teams, weekly programs, and local pickup. As these relationships develop BB seeks to spiritually disciple and equip these young people. Breaking Borders not only desires to inspire youth on a global scale but to be a vessel for cultural exchange. Everyone who participates in a Breaking Borders program is awakened to a new culture, new customs, and new people. This exchange of values changes people's perspectives and makes them more aware of the world around them. .

Ultimate Cares – UltimateCares.org

Ultimate Cares uses the fun and camaraderie of Ultimate frisbee to raise awareness for diseases that children face and to inspire others to help in supporting these children and their families. By selling discs printed with drawings from children with chronic illnesses and their stories, UC helps raise awareness.The profits go to families in need to help defray the costs of caring for a child with a serious illness. All profits go towards helping children in need.

With the generous support of our wonderful customers, Disc Store has raised over $1,470 dollars to support sick children and their families.

Early Recognition is Critical - (E.R.I.C.) - earlyrecognitioniscritical.org/

E.R.I.C. employs Ultimate Frisbee Clinics and Tournaments to teach youth about body and cancer symptom awareness and the importance of healthy living. They host youth clinics across the nation and need your help spreading the word!

 Little Ones Ministries – lomkids.org

Little Ones Ministries serves impoverished children and has a unique strategy of reaching the community through the operation of a Hope Center, the heart and soul of their ministry, directly placed in an impoverished area. They seek to spread the love of Christ to these kids, and believe that every child needs 2 things: Food and Hope. 

Partnered with local churches, a Hope Center is a place where kids can go to get off the street and enjoy several privileges that come with being a member of Hope Centers. Hope Centers are staffed with mentors from local churches who invest into the children daily through their personal relationships. LOM uses Ultimate as a tool to bring kids from the community together in a fun, safe, and positive atmosphere. Our discs have been sent to LOM in Mexico and Nicaragua.

 CASA - For the Kids, for the Record

CASA is a non-profit committed to helping abused and neglected children.

Disc Store and Seward County CASA teamed up in 2010 to break a Guinness World Record for the longest Ultimate Frisbee marathon game ever played! The record was broken with a final time of 80 hours, 15 minutes, and 13 seconds!

Thirty participants competed in an 80 hour game that took place in Seward County, Nebraska from September 3, 2010 at 7 am through September 6, 2010 at 3 pm. Every game participant was responsible for playing at least (7) six hour shifts.

This event raised about $4000 for Seward County, Nebraska CASA.
